Is Jasmine Arabian or Indian?
She is an Arab. She was the first non-white Disney princess. How do you feel about Disney casting a half-Indian, half-white actress to play Jasmine in the live-action version of Aladdin?
Because Jasmine is not black, she's Arabian. So, why cast a black woman, again? It was controversial enough they had a British woman of Indian descent to play the part. Also, just so you know: the very original story from the 1001 Arabian Nights collection is set in China.
