While some drivers prefer to stay close to their roots, others choose to reside in different parts of the world. Yet, one location stands out as a popular choice among many of them: the glamorous principality of Monaco.
Location. Like any house-hunters out there, location is key when it comes to finding a place to live, and for Formula 1 drivers, Monaco has the luxury of being close to the nearest major airport, Nice – around 15 miles away from Monte Carlo.

Yuki Tsunoda is the shortest driver in F1, measuring 1.59 metres (5ft 2in). He has been the shortest driver on the grid since his debut in 2021 but said that his height isn't a “big advantage”.

Norris is the owner of a £20m mansion in Surrey, but like most F1 drivers, he spends the majority of his time off the track residing in Monaco. He had previously dismissed the idea of relocating to the Principality, suggesting that he "would not enjoy" being away from family and friends in the UK.
Taxes. Taxes in Monaco are extremely low for the rich, which is obviously helpful for most Formula 1 drivers due to their high salaries. The country has no income tax, wealth tax, local tax, property tax, or capital gains tax.
